Enjoy an evening walk under old fir trees. See and hear owls and coyotes howl. During the day see eagles soar overhead. Lapis Lane Guesthouse offers its guests privacy with the warmth and casual hospitality of island living. The home is located on the western side of Whidbey Island, looking over the Maxwellton Valley. Through the trees you have a beautiful view of the sunsets, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The home is located on 6 acres, with large fir, cedar and maple trees. The house sleeps up to six in its two bedrooms and fold-out sofa. All bed linens are 100% cotton and only non-toxic, low-perfume natural cleaning products are used in the home. There is a relaxing steam bath and a Jacuzzi tub to relax and enjoy. In August and September pick buckets of wild blackberries growing right outside the front door. There is a full kitchen complete with all your cooking needs. The home is elegantly furnished with handcrafted objects and fine art work.

From Seattle, drive North on I-5 and take Highway 405/525 exit, go West on Highway 525 to the Mukilteo / Clinton ferry dock.

Ferries depart on the half hour to Clinton (link). Follow Highway 525 North approximately 2 miles to the first stoplight; turn left on Cultus Bay road. Drive about 2 miles, turn right on French Road and follow about 1 mile, turn left onto Lapis Lane Road. Drive up lane, stay to the left, where lane separates and the guesthouse is 100 yards farther on the left side.

From the North, take I-5 South to Anacortes and follow the signs to Deception Pass. Cross the Deception Pass Bridge onto Whidbey Island and head South on Highway 20/525 for approximately 40 miles to Maxwelton Road, turn right and head Southwest. Drive about 3.5 miles to French Road, turn left and continue about 2 miles more. Lapis Lane is on the right. Follow up hill stay to left and the guesthouse is on the left.
